（中央社華盛頓6日綜合外電報導）美國總統歐巴馬今天宣告南部的佛羅里達州進入緊急狀態，因為颶風「馬修」（Matthew）橫掃加勒比海後地區後，佛州的東南部海岸已開始感受到馬修強風的威力。
法新社報導，歐巴馬下令聯邦政府提供援助，協助州與地方政府因應這個破壞力強大的風暴，並且授權國土安全部與聯邦緊急事故管理總署（FEMA）協調救災行動。
颶風馬修前天侵襲海地與古巴，之後威力減弱，美國國家颶風中心（National Hurricane Center）一度將之降為3級颶風，但今天因最大風速又將近每小時220公里，再度升級為4級颶風。
路透社報導，馬修是近10年來侵襲加勒比海地區的威力最強颶風，向北推進途中至少已造成140人喪生，海地就占了136人。1051007
